Last night BET aired My Mic Sounds Nice: The Truth About Women & Hip Hop. The documentary had some good points of discussion on the role of female rappers in the hip-hop industry. Nicki Minaj is the only female rapper dominating the charts and getting the most attention, that everybody is forgetting the impact of female rappers from years past.

The documentary also talks about some of the popular favorites from the 80s and 90s. If you missed it, check the video out above.

R. Kelly premiered his new video “When A Woman Loves” earlier today. The video is shot in black and white, and it kind of gives you that old back in the day feel to it. This song will be featured on his upcoming album Later Love which is set to release later this year. Check out the video below!

T-Pain links up with the Boss (Ricky Rozay) as of now on his latest track “Rap Song.” T-Pain debuted the track in July at Summer Jam Canada minus the Rick Ross verse.

This track “Rap Song” isn’t confirmed if it’s the single off of his upcoming album rEVOLVER which has been delayed four times, but it’s believed to be.

J. Cole’s feature on BET’s ‘Rising Icons’ he talks about his struggles, his hustle, how he was discovered, and how he feels about becoming the first artist signed to Jay-Z’s Roc Nation.

He even speaks about his debut album which is scheduled to release later this year .
